Currently, it is estimated that more than 446,500 Australians are living with dementia. Without a significant intervention, the number of Australians living with dementia is expected to increase to more than 1 million by 2065.

He is and will always be my hero
Wednesday 13th May This man has always been there. A quiet supporter of me and my boys. Always. He has been a rock that has celebrated with me in the great times, but he also held my hand with love and unwavering support in the harder moments. I will always look up to this man with adoration, admiration and love.Dementia is cruel. It slowly cuts away the person you know. It strips away their confidence and self belief. And it hurts the people who care for them and looks out for them on a daily basis.
No one can take away my memories of my dad as the man he was, the man he became and the man he is now. He remains devoted in his love for my mum, his dog and his family despite his daily fight with this cruel disease.
Too many people need to face this fight or support someone else face this fight. Please support me to make a difference for those impacted by dementia.
