50,000 Steps for Dementia Research
The residents of Goodwin Retirement Village in Crace ACT, seek your encouragement to walk 50,000 steps in 12 hours as a means of raising awareness and funds for Dementia Australia's work in promoting research in this area.
On 21 March 2024, between 7am and 7 pm, we will try to complete as many circuits around the circumference of the Crace Village as possible (approximately 1000 steps per circuit) to reach our goal.
As our average age is 79 years, we will step it out singly and in groups, with walking frames, walking sticks, walking poles and pets.
Your support through donations to Dementia Australia on this page will make it worthwhile!
The money raised will aid research to help find an urgently needed cure for this killer disease.
