Crunches Challenge 2025

I'm taking on the crunch challenge for Dementia Australia 2025 in memory of my Pa who we lost in Oct 2024 🖤

Currently, it is estimated that more than 433,300 Australians are living with dementia. Without a medical breakthrough, the number of people with dementia is expected to increase to more than 812,500 by 2058.

Your contribution will make a world of difference for people impacted by dementia, every donation big or small counts!

Thank you so much for your support.

Pa/Budgee

Tuesday 1st Jul
My Pa - Whose Nickname Was Budgee 🥹
He Was An Amazing Man, With The Biggest Personality & Cheekiness. Every Room He Would Walk I to He Would Make Every Person Smile, Laugh & Certainly Brighten Your Day.
He Was Diagnosed With Dementia In 2021.  As A Family We Did Everything We Could At Home To Support Him & Help Him Until We Realised Couldn’t Do It On Our Own. We Asked For Help & Found An Amazing Nursing Home Near Our House With The Most Amazing Staff. We Moved Him In & The Help & Care He Received Was Amazing. Everyday My Nan Would Go In & Visit Him All Day, Having Lunch With Him, Playing Cards & Reminiscing On His Memories. I Would Go In Once Or Twice A Week, We Would Watch The Cricket & Footy Together Like We Always Did. In Oct 2024 Pa Lost His Battle, While We Sat There With Him For The Three Days Before He Passed, Not Leaving His Side We Reflected On The Amazing Man He Was, The Life He Lived & How He Had Made An Impact On Each Persons Life Around Him. I Miss My Pa Every Single Day, I Always Look Up To The Sky & Talk To Him & We Also Talk About Him Everyday In Our Home. He Was A Beautiful Person & The Best Father Figure I Could’ve Ever Imagined.
