I'm taking on the Crunches Challenge this June for Dementia Australia
Currently, it is estimated that more than 446,500 Australians are living with dementia, including my grandmother who was diagnosed. Without a significant intervention, the number of Australians living with dementia is expected to increase to more than 1 million by 2065.
I am participating in Crunches for Dementia in honour of my Baba, who was diagnosed with dementia. Watching someone you love go through this illness has shown me the importance of awareness, support, and research truly are. Every crunch I complete is for her and for the millions of families affected by dementia around the world.
