Peyton's Fundraiser

By Melissa Fernandez-Childs

I'm raising funds for people with dementia!

Peyton’s great grandfather passed away from dementia in August 2014. From a young age she proudly participated with the family in the Memory Walk & Jog.

In April 2019, Peyton woke up one morning with her “plan in place” of how she would grow her hair and  raise money for Dementia Australia.

Her hair grew to be 25cm long and on October 2 will be cutting it off.. Thanks to Canberra salon, Ora Hair, (a Sustainable Salon proudly associated with collecting ponytails for donations) Peyton's hair will go to charitable organisations and local wig makers where it will become wigs for those suffering from medically-induced-hair-loss conditions such as Alopecia and cancer.

Thank you for supporting Peyton and Dementia Australia Research Foundation which supports innovative Australia research by providing grants to talented new and early-career researchers.
