5km a day

I’m raising funds for people with dementia!

This November, a group of friends and I, the Blister Sisters, will be walking 5km every day to raise money for Dementia Australia.

This cause is incredibly personal to me. My beautiful mum was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer's at just 61. She is the most vibrant, outgoing person you'll ever meet. The first to jump on scary rides with her grandkids, go skydiving, or take on any adventure. Quite simply, Alzheimer's sucks.

Sadly, dementia has touched multiple generations of my family. My Nanna and Poppa both lived with dementia, and now my mum's journey is a reminder of just how devastating this disease can be.

Dementia is now the leading cause of death for Australian women, and Alzheimer's accounts for more than 70% of dementia cases. While there is promising research on the horizon, more funding is needed to support research, improve treatments and, ultimately, find a cure.

That's why I'm walking.

If you'd like to support me and help make a difference for families like mine, I'd be so grateful for a donation, big or small.
