Why I'm doing Marathon my way

Monday 30th Sep 30 September 2024 marks 13 years since we said our final goodbye to dad. 

Dad was diagnosed with early onset alzhimers and just over a year from an offical diagnosis he died. Throughout our journey we had many goodbyes to the dad, husband, brother and friend that we all knew and loved. It's a cruel disease, for everyone.

Between 21 - 29 October, I'll be running & walking 42ks in memory of dad and in support of Australians living with dementia. All funds go to Dementia Australia who provided mum and us with support and resources when dad was diagnosed.

Every dollar raised fuels Dementia Australia's vital initiatives, from educational programs and support services to groundbreaking research aimed at finding better treatments and, ultimately, a cure.  Share
