What is Marathon Your Way?

Marathon Your Way is a week-long challenge where you get to choose to run your own marathon. We're asking you to choose your distance, spread the word and raise funds for Aussies living with younger onset dementia, then hit the pavement and complete your marathon!

You can choose between three distances that represent Aussies living with younger onset dementia. – 29km, 42km or ultra marathon 61km. 

The challenge will take place from 21 to 27 October 2024.

When do I have to complete my marathon by?

The great thing about Marathon Your Way is it really is a marathon, your way! You choose your distance and how long you want to spend running. For example, you might choose to run it in one day or spread out the kms across the week.

How do I raise funds?

One of our top fundraising tips is to ask your family and friends to support you. Just simply send them to your online fundraising page to make a donation.

How do I share my fundraising page on Facebook?

Sharing your fundraising web page on Facebook is a great way to spread the word to more people! It’s easy too. When you log into your Facebook account, you should see a box that asks “What’s on your mind?”.

Simply copy the website link (or ‘URL’) that we sent in your registration email and paste it into this box. That will create an image or ‘preview’ of the link. In the box, write your message in front of the link. Then click ‘post’.

How do I add offline donations to my page?

How do I create or join a team?

When you first register there will be a section called ‘Create your page’. On the bottom of this page there is a section to create or join a team. Just follow the steps and you should be good to go!

If you have already registered, just search for the team. Click on the team's fundraising page and then the yellow 'Join Team' button.

If you are already registered and want to create a brand new team, simply log in to your account, go to your dashboard and then an option will appear to create a team. Simply follow the prompts and you're all set up.
