I'm taking on the Crunches Challenge this June for Dementia Australia
Dementia is a cause very close to my heart, as my dad has been living with this condition for some time. Watching the impact dementia has on not only the person diagnosed, but also their family and loved ones, has shown me just how important research, support services, and awareness are.
My daughter, Kate recently challenged me to complete a crunch challenge for the month and, not content with stopping there, she recruited her uncles into a “Crunchy Uncie” Messenger group to help keep us all accountable! What started as a fun family challenge has become an opportunity to raise awareness and funds for a cause that means so much to us.
Currently, more than 446,500 Australians are living with dementia, and without significant intervention, that number is expected to exceed 1 million by 2065.
I’m raising funds to help make a difference for those affected by dementia and to support the vital work being done to improve care, treatment, and research. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help support people living with dementia and the families who walk this journey alongside them.
Thank you so much for your kindness and support - it truly means a lot to our family.
