Crunches Challenge 2026

Crunching for Mum!

Ten years ago, we lost my beautiful Mum, Catherine, to early onset dementia. She was only 57 years old.

This year, Cooper and I have decided to take on a challenge in her memory and raise money for Dementia Australia to help support families affected by this devastating disease and contribute to vital research and support services.

Mum was truly amazing — kind, strong, loving, and the heart of our family. Dementia stole so much from her, and from all of us. She missed birthdays, Christmases, graduations, and so many precious family moments. She only had the chance to meet two of her six grandchildren. Our children were robbed of their Nanny, and we were robbed of so many years with our Mum.

We miss the big things, but also the small everyday things people often take for granted — the chance to hug our mum just because, to pick up the phone and tell her something silly, ask for advice, share good news, or hear her laugh. Dementia took those moments far too early.

To honour her memory, Cooper and I will be completing a crunch challenge and raising funds for a cause that means so much to us.

If you are able to donate, no matter how small, we would be incredibly grateful. Every dollar helps support Australians living with dementia and the families walking this difficult journey beside them.

Sadly, dementia touches so many lives, and chances are it has impacted someone you know and love too.

Thank you for your support, encouragement, and for helping us honour Catherine’s memory. ❤️
