I'm taking on the Crunches Challenge this June for my Yiayia and Dementia Australia

Last year, my beautiful Yiayia was diagnosed with dementia. Seeing how this has affected her, most notably the impact on her independence, has been difficult. Throughout this change in her life though, I've been impressed by her strong-will, never complaining and always keeping her sense of humour.

While the progression of dementia can be delayed, more research is required to find a cure for this disease, which is estimated to affect more than 445,000 Australians. Without a significant intervention, this number is expected to increase to more than 1 million by 2065. That's why I'm taking Dementia Australia's Crunches Challenge to raise vital funds towards dementia research. Any contribution to this fundraiser will make a world of difference for people impacted by dementia, every donation big or small counts.
