Our team and residents are taking on the Crunches Challenge this June for Dementia Australia

Dementia is currently the leading cause of death in the country. It is estimated that more than 446,500 Australians are living with dementia.

I am pledging for this cause because of how close it is to my heart. Working in aged care for the last 13 years, I have had the privilege to build relationships with people living with dementia and their loved ones. What others may perceive as tiring and challenging has been my source of joy and growth. My passion intensified and my knowledge deepened.  By always trying to find ways to understand, to contribute and to educate.

Aligned with Opal Healthcare’s purpose of “bringing joy to those we care for”, I am hoping that thru the team and this fundraising, we will be able to slowly make an impact to the wider community and showcase our dedication
