What is Pedal the Map?
Pedal the Map is a month-long challenge where you get to set your own cycling challenge and also help us complete a Lap of the Map!
How much does it cost to register?
It’s FREE to register for Pedal the Map. Simply sign up here and make a difference for the thousand of Australians living with dementia!
When do I have to complete my challenge by?
You have up until the 31 October to complete your challenge.

Fundraising
How do I raise funds?
One of our top fundraising tips is to ask your family and friends to support you.
Just simply send them to your online fundraising page to make a donation.
You can ask them by:
- Sending them an email
- Or Share your fundraising page on social media

How do I share my fundraising page on Facebook?
Sharing your fundraising web page on Facebook is a great way to spread the word to more people! It’s easy too.
When you log into your Facebook account, you should see a box that asks “What’s on your mind?”. Simply copy the website link (or ‘URL’) that we sent in your registration email and paste it into this box. That will create an image or ‘preview’ of the link. In the box, write your message in front of the link. Then click ‘post’.
How do I create or join a team?
When you first register there will be a section called ‘Create your page’. On the bottom of this page there is a section to create or join a team. Just follow the steps and you should be good to go!
If you have already registered, just search for the team. Click on the team's fundraising page and then the yellow 'Join Team' button.
If you are already registered and want to create a brand new team, simply log in to your account, go to your dashboard and then an option will appear to create a team. Simply follow the prompts and you're all set up.
How do I update my fundraising target?
Login to your fundraising page and go to "Edit my page" - here you can change your Fundraising target and save by clicking Update Details.
Where do the funds I raise go?
Your fundraising will directly support those living with dementia, their families and carers. With your support Dementia Australia provides a range of services to the community including:
- National Dementia Helpline where people can talk to caring and experienced professionals;
- Living with Memory Loss programs where people can obtain information and talk confidentially with others in a similar situation;
- Library and information services which provides access to dementia related consumer health information and services;
- Assisting many in time of need with our education seminars, workshops and programs.
