We're raising funds for people with dementia!
My #twelvedaysofchristmas challenge is an opportunity to raise awareness for people living with dementia and to allow my friends and family the opportunity to financially support charity at Christmas time.
On Boxing Day, I will be having my hair cut/shaved as a symbolic gesture to show that having a haircut is not something to be afraid or scared of, as is the case with some people living with dementia.
My hair has been growing since 2011, when I finished chemo, so it is now quite long - 70cm at it’s longest.
I would really love to be able to raise $100 for every cm that I cut.
My cut hair will be collected and sent to Sustainable Salons and will be used to make real hair wigs for people with alopecia.

All funds raised will support the work of Dementia Australia to provide vital support services for people living with dementia, their families and carers. These services include counselling, support groups, education and training.
