This year my father passed away aged 84 after dementia affected his emotional and cognitive abilities. 

Dementia is a horrible disease which is affecting more people every day along with families and friends.  

Sadly dementia affected both of our father's, Tonya's father Lindsay was my geography teacher many years ago and a lovely man who meant the world to Tonya. 

Dementia's affects are wide ranging for the individual affected and their loved ones.
