Dementia doesn't, just affect one person, it affects the whole family.

I am a Med/Surg nurse who specialises in Dementia and delirium. Most importantly, I am one part of an amazing team who are supporting my beautiful Mum and amazing Dad as her carer, through this journey. It is one of the most challenging things we have faced as a family but we are doing together. 

Dementia Australia supports carers, family, friends and health care workers with education, support services and guidance on how to navigate the Dementia process. 

So, this November I’m taking part in the 5km A Day Your Way challenge with Dementia Australia. Each day in November I’ll be completing 5km a day, however I wish.

Every kilometre I complete, and dollar raised, helps support the 446,500 Australians living with dementia and the 1.7 million who care for them.
