We're raising funds for people with dementia!
Our beautiful mum, Anne, was diagnosed with a rare form of dementia in 2017.
This rare disease, posteria cortical atrophy, initially disrupted mums spatial awareness where she had trouble moving about without bumping into walls and poles etc. It then progressed to her being legally blind, this took away mums independence and doing the things she loved - gardening, cooking, reading, and driving. Mum was determined to not let this disease get in her way. She learnt to use a seeing eye cane, used a magnifyer to see some words, used visual aids to do daily tasks such as make a cup of tea and continued to garden as much as she could.
Unfortunately about 4 years after diagnosis, mum developed seizures that progressively became worse and eventually took her life. Mum left us peacefully at 6.07am 19th November 2022.
As this is close to our hearts and such a rare disease, we are raising funds for people with dementia!
But we need your help! Please make a donation to support our efforts and help us reach our goal to beat dementia.
All funds raised will support the work of Dementia Australia to provide vital support services for people living with dementia, their families and carers. These services include counselling, support groups, education and training.
Thank you for your support.

Anne was a beautiful lady. Your fundraising efforts against this horrible disease will hopefully mean others won’t have to go through what she did. Sending love to all xx
For mum, I miss you so very much.
