Raise it for Anne
Over recent years, leading up to my birthday I asked you lovely people to help raise money for my Mum, Anne. Thank you again for your generosity.
Jen has kindly organised this fundraiser and I am joining her to raise funds for others also suffering. So, I'm asking for your generosity this year too.
Mum had a rare form of dementia disease, Posterior Cortical Atrophy. It was aggressive and she fought extremely hard as was her character to do so with everything.
The goal is $1,000 over the month of March 2023. I will have a target of 100km as will my sisters. I am planning to walk to and from my workplace in Melbourne, which works out to be 1.8km each way. I will also be switching it up with laps in the pool and cross trainer circuits. I will most likely reach the goal early on, but I'll continue all month long even if it is over 100km.
If you can, even a small amount to contribute will mean so much to all of us involved.
All funds raised will support the work of Dementia Australia to provide vital support services for people living with dementia, their families and carers. These services include counselling, support groups, education and training.
Thank you for your support.
