I'm raising funds for people with dementia!
Hi, my name is Nathan, and I'm currently 14! When I was younger, my grandma passed away from Alzheimer’s disease. Even though I was small, I remember how difficult it was to see her lose her memories and sense of self. Growing up, I only began to grasp with the fragility of life and the painful experience millions of families like myself go through because of dementia That experience has stayed with me, and it makes me want to help others going through the same thing.
That’s why I’m organising a Walkathon at Jells Park bush trail to raise money for Dementia Australia. I chose Jells Park as it is such a beautiful place, and walking together is a simple way to show support and raise awareness.
I believe nobody should have to face dementia alone. All the funds raised will go directly to Dementia Australia, helping provide vital services like counselling, education, and support for people living with dementia, their families, and carers.
My fundraising goal is $100, and I’d be so grateful for your support. Every donation, big or small, will make a difference to those impacted by dementia.
Thank you for helping me honour my grandma’s memory and support this cause that means so much to me
