I am raising funds for Dementia Australia in memory of my loved one.

Prabhakar, Allison Waddell (nee Watson). Beloved wife, mother, Ajji, cousin, friend and servant of God, Allison passed away peacefully on Saturday morning 24 January at Cherrybrook Christian Care Centre. 

After raising her four children, Allison returned to work as a registered nurse at Chesalon Anglicare Nursing Home, before completing her Masters of Nursing and diploma in Dementia Care, and working as an assessor for the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission. Both as a nurse and an assessor, Allison displayed genuine care and heart for the elderly and those living with dementia. 

After being diagnosed herself with Alzheimer’s Disease, she took the news with grace. Despite the rapid progression of her symptoms, she always brought warmth and joy with her, and was beloved in her nursing home by staff and residents. 

After 75 productive years, she is now home with the Lord.

In lieu of flowers, we ask for donations to Dementia Australia. All donations received will support the work of Dementia Australia to make a significant difference for people living with dementia, their families and carers through vital support, services, education, training and research.
