I’m raising funds for people with dementia!
💜 5KM A DAY, YOUR WAY — DEMENTIA AUSTRALIA 💜
This November, I’m taking on the 5km a Day Your Way challenge with Dementia Australia, committing to 5km every single day throughout the month, in whatever way I can.
But this challenge is about so much more than kilometres. It’s about raising awareness, showing support, and making a difference to the lives of those affected by dementia.
Through my line of work, I see firsthand how dementia impacts not only the person living with it, but also their families, loved ones and the people who dedicate themselves to caring for them. Seeing the heartbreak, the uncertainty and the challenges these families face truly breaks my heart. Dementia doesn’t just affect one person; it touches entire families and changes lives in ways that are difficult to put into words.
Behind every statistic is a person with a story, a family with memories, and loved ones who are navigating a journey they never expected to face.
Throughout November, every kilometre I walk or run, and every dollar raised, is for those people. For the families searching for answers, the carers who give so much of themselves, and the individuals living with dementia who deserve compassion, dignity, understanding and support.
If taking on 5km a day can help raise awareness, start conversations and contribute to supporting those affected by dementia, then every step will be worth it. 💜
I would love your support in any way you can, whether that’s making a donation, sharing this post, or simply helping spread awareness.
Let’s make every kilometre count for the 446,500 Australians living with dementia and the 1.7 million Australians involved in their care.
Every step has a purpose. Every dollar makes a difference. Every person matters. 💜

My Updates
💜 Dementia is more than forgetting names. It’s a journey that affects not only the person living with it, but every person who loves and cares for them. 💜
Tuesday 13th OctDementia can change memories, personalities, relationships and the little things we often take for granted. It can mean watching someone slowly struggle with things that once came naturally to them, and seeing families navigate a journey they never expected to face.
In my line of work, I see the impact dementia has on individuals and their families, and honestly, it breaks my heart. Behind every diagnosis is a person with a lifetime of memories, stories, love and experiences. Behind every person living with dementia is often a family trying their best to support someone they love through the hardest of days.
That’s why raising awareness matters. Why compassion matters. Why patience, understanding and kindness matter so much.
💜 People living with dementia are still people who deserve dignity, respect, connection and love. They deserve to feel seen, heard and valued, even when the world around them becomes confusing.
This November, I’m taking on the 5km a Day Your Way challenge for Dementia Australia to help raise awareness and funds to support those living with dementia and the people who care for them.
Every kilometre is for someone whose memories are changing.
Every dollar is an opportunity to make a difference.
Every conversation helps break down stigma and build understanding.
Because dementia doesn't just affect one person. It touches entire families, friendships and communities.
Let’s keep talking about dementia. Let’s keep showing up for those affected by it. And let’s make sure no one feels alone on this journey. 💜
