I’m raising funds for people with dementia!
Over the past year, my dad was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, which sadly often goes hand in hand with his Parkinson’s disease. While the signs were there, he was still very much himself.
Then, in July this year, Dad suffered a stroke, which led to a sudden and significant decline in his Alzheimer’s. He’s been in hospital ever since, and it’s been incredibly hard watching someone you love go through so much.
This November, I’m committing to walking 5km every day to raise funds and awareness for people living with dementia and the families who love and support them.
I’m doing this for my dad, and for others like him ❤️
