I'm raising funds for people with dementia!

The members of the Mount Barker District Concert Band and the Mount Barker Big Band are raising funds for people with dementia!

But we need your help! Please make a donation to support our efforts and help us reach our goal to beat dementia.

All funds raised will support the work of Dementia Australia to provide vital support services for people living with dementia, their families and carers. These services include counselling, support groups, education and training.

For Mum and Nanna

I say for my Mum and Nanna but there's also my great aunt, the father of one of my dear friends, countless relatives of friends and so many others whose lives have been impacted by dementia.

I know what it's like for families going through this experience - it's daunting, draining, despairing, depressing, traumatic... Just horrible. I can only imagine what someone with this disease goes through. 

Every year the members of the Mount Barker District Concert Band and the Mount Barker Big Band put on a Cabaret to raise funds for issues which impact our community and I can think of no better cause than raising money to help families and carers and maybe even find a way to beat dementia 💜
