Monday 25th MayIn 2026 there are an estimated 446,500 Australians living with dementia.
Without a significant intervention, the number of Australians living with dementia is expected to increase to more than 1 million by 2065.
Dementia is the leading cause of death for Australians.
54% of people living in permanent residential care have dementia.
