I'm raising funds for people with dementia!

The Community Grants Hub are raising funds for people with dementia.

But we need your help!  Please make a donation to support our efforts and help us reach our goal to beat dementia.

We will be holding a morning tea followed by a Table Tennis Challenge in the Community Grants Hub Office - Lvl 13, 11 Waymouth St, Adelaide on Thursday 19th October from 10am.

Jade Rockliff from Dementia Australia will be dialling in over Teams to speak about how the money raised can make a difference to over 400,000 Australians living with Dementia.

All funds raised will support the work of Dementia Australia to provide vital support services for people living with dementia, their families and carers. These services include counselling, support groups, education and training.

Great morning with $700 raised so far not including cash donations.  Huge thanks !

Will leave the donation box in 13.12 Friday for any stragglers :) 

Really good to hear from from Jade on how Dementia Australia can help those affected.

Nice turnout for the table tennis challenge with some great techniques on display and a fair bit of trash talking reported.   Centre Court aka the boardroom was finally used for a grudge doubles match between Home Affairs and Pop Health and Sport.

Table Tennis Challenge Update !

Great news Ping Pong fans. The risk assessment has been passed by the powers that be, meaning the Table Tennis Challenge is going ahead this Thursday, 19th October in the Community Grants Hub.  

We’ll be setting up one doubles and one singles table in the main meeting rooms, 13.12 and 13.13.   

So if you think you’ve got the skills, get in there and pay some bills. There have been a number of staff in the office bigging up their skills already and talking the talk.    Normie has threatened to rock up in his 80s style Pat Cash headband ! 

Proceedings will get underway after the morning tea at around 10.30am.  Donation boxes will be available on the day, and of course any online donations gratefully accepted for this great cause.
