Great man, fabulous intellect, caring heart. One of the most authentic and honest gentleman I have met. Having heard the kind words yesterday it is clear that my view is shared by many. My thoughts are with the family.

Dear Jenny Emily and Jane. I am so sorry for your loss. Simon was one of those rare human beings that, if we are lucky, crosses our path. He said what he thought and stood by it. Working with and knowing Simon was an honour and privilege. Taken from you and those that knew him way too early.

A man that I was privileged to know, call a friend and respect. May the road rise to meet you May the wind be always at your back May the sun shine warm upon your face Until we meet again.

In memory of a much loved friend and colleague.

Simon was a brilliant example to us all of decency, kindness, intellect and general good humour. He was the heart of the court and leader. He will live on in all of us who knew and worked with him.

Dear Jane, I was so sad to hear (via your old neighbours - talk about degrees of separation) that your dad was taken far too young and in such a cruel way. I will always cherish the years that I learnt from many appearances before him as a VLA duty lawyer in Gippsland. His sharp mind, strong moral compass and compassion was a force for good in this world. He had an impact on many (particularly in the Gippsland region). My deepest condolences to you and your family.

Condolences to Jenny Emily Jane and family for the loss of a truly amazing Simon, will treasure all the memories of his wit and leadership dealing with the bunch of MPC wayward mums 🤣was devistating to see you lose your personality and intellect , but our memories will live on. Every morning we (Tony & Kerry) put $1.50 into a piggy bank and at the end of the month donate it to a worthy cause. We had already donated November's to Movember and so this is December's in advance.

Dear Jane, Emily and family, I was so saddened to hear of Simon’s passing – he was an inspiring man of conviction, intelligence, humour and kindness and always had so much time for myself and other young lawyers when we started our careers and beyond. His legacy will undoubtedly live on in so many ways. Wishing you strength in the days ahead.

I am so saddened to hear of Simon’s passing. I was Simon’s secretary for several years at RCT and have the best memories from this time. Such a hard working man championing the cause for injured workers and so bloody funny. Thinking of your family at this time x

Hi Jane, The family and I were very saddened to hear of the passing of your Dad. I fondly recall his rambunctiousness, inherently good and fearless nature. He stays in my memory as someone who along with his clearly beloved Jenny were unmatched in their drive to good for others. What a privilege it was to have crossed his path if only for enough time to hear a few wicked dad jokes and be subject to his kindness. Love that you are championing this cause for him - a warrior much like your Dad I suspect you must be Jane. Sending my deepest condolences to you, Mum and the family.
