I'm raising funds for people with dementia!

Dementia is still a very much unknown disease so I'm hosting this fundraiser to share awareness and hopefully raise enough money so that families and carers can access important counselling, support groups, education and training.

For those who don't know, about 2.5 years ago, my Grandad Brian was diagnosed with Dementia and sadly passed in October 2022.

Holly's Poppa, Robin, was also diagnosed with this cruel disease around 17 years ago and has only recently been admitted into a care home. 

Prior to my Grandad's diagnosis and meeting Robin in 2021, I knew very little about the disease and the impact it has on the individuals and families. 

After our trip to England, I saw again how much of a team it takes to ensure that people living with Dementia are cared for to make sure even though there are plenty of ups and downs, each moment is the best moment.

So let's celebrate the people with Dementia and the fantastic support networks around them just as much as we would celebrate a 30th birthday!
