Flutterby fund - making moments with meaning
Queer, indie-pop artist Harper Bloom, announces her anticipated sophomore EP Flutterby, set for release August 30. Flutterby, was lyrically influenced by Bloom's close friend, Liz, who is a powerful activist and pianist living with early-onset Alzheimers. Produced by the renowned Charlie Westropp (Maisie Peters, Gabrielle Aplin), Flutterby marks a triumphant return for Bloom, who will be taking her electrifying new live show on the road this September/October to celebrate.
'Liz is a musician living with early-onset Alzheimers. Liz helped me write "Flutterby" which is a song that has gone on to reignite my songwriting and music career.
I met Liz (pianist and activist) on the day she got home from being diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer's 2 years ago, and we have worked closely together ever since.
We want to raise funds on the tour to either help find a cure for Alzheimer's disease or to fund support programs (such as memory choirs), that keep people living with Dementia engaged in community and bring them meaning and purpose.
