I'm fundraising for fighting for dementa
My family and I are fighting a battle that so many people never truly understand until it touches their own home. We are fighting for my grandma — the woman who held our family together, who filled our lives with love, wisdom, and memories we will never forget.
But dementia is cruel. It slowly steals moments, names, stories, and pieces of the person you love. Watching someone you care about fade in front of your eyes is one of the hardest things a family can go through. Some days she remembers us clearly, and those moments feel like miracles. Other days are filled with confusion, fear, and heartbreak.
Yet through all of this, we continue to fight for her.
We fight by being patient when she repeats the same story.
We fight by holding her hand when she feels lost.
We fight by reminding her every single day that she is loved, valued, and never alone.
Dementia may affect her memory, but it will never erase the impact she has had on our lives. She is still our grandma. She is still the heart of our family.
This journey has tested us emotionally, mentally, and physically. There are nights filled with tears, exhaustion, and helplessness. But there are also moments of laughter, warmth, and love that remind us why we keep going.
We are not giving up on her.
Because family means standing beside each other even in the darkest moments. It means showing love not only when things are easy, but especially when they are hard.
And no matter what dementia takes away, it can never take away the love we have for her.
