Mindful Making for Dementia Awareness

Monday 28th Jul

This cause is deeply personal to me. My dad is currently living with dementia, and through that journey, I’ve seen how challenging and isolating it can be — not just for the person affected, but for their whole support network.

That’s why I’m fundraising for Dementia Australia — to help provide vital services like counselling, education, support groups, and training for those living with dementia, and for the people who care for them.

But I’m also passionate about raising awareness and encouraging prevention where we can. Through this fundraiser, I’m hoping to shine a light on the cognitive benefits of craft — the way it supports brain health, reduces stress, and helps people feel connected and purposeful.
