For Eveline....Because you can't remember, we will..
A beautiful, intelligent woman called Eveline ( our Stepmum) has walked the Coast to coast walk in England with her husband Brian twice ( our dad and father in law ). This was in 2004 and then again in 2015. Eveline is a great highschool teacher and trained accountant , well travelled and very clever . In approximately 2013, at 60, she started showing signs of dementia and was eventually diagnosed with aphasic dementia . She has now suffered this for ten years and now no longer speaks nor understands what is being said to her.
In August 2023 Brian, Geoff (his son) and his four grandsons (Will, Lachie, Joey and Matt) and myself (Al) will be doing this walk again together. It is a 320km walk and one of the world's great walks and involves walking from the West coast to the East Coast of England over 18 days. It is an exhilarating and tough adventure (as Eveline and Brian have told us over the years) and once completed is reported to be an achievement that will remain fondly in the memory for the rest of your life. Evie is no longer able to join us, and in fact can no longer remember this amazing walk which she has done twice before but we know she would approve of us raising funds to help others with dementia!
All funds raised will support the work of Dementia Australia to provide vital support services for people living with dementia, their families and carers. These services include counselling, support groups, education and training.

Loved having time with Evie and your family in Fiji. I will always remember Evie
