I'm raising funds for people with dementia!
Hi all! So I’ve decided to team up with Dementia Australia and raise funds for people with dementia, an illness which directly impacts so many Australian families, including both mine and my wife’s family.
Dementia is the second leading cause of death for Australians and first for women. As of 2024, dementia affects over 400,000 people in Australia with this expected to double in 25 years. In addition, over 1.6 million people in Australia are involved in the care of someone living with dementia.
Therefore I need your help! As dementia is truly a challenging illness for all involved, i’ve decided to take on the challenge of completing an ultramarathon, where I will run over 50km across multiple terrains on the Great Ocean Road - starting on the beach and over the cliffs, through bush and trail, and finishing on road.
So I ask you all to please consider making a small donation to support my efforts and beat this Ultra, but most importantly help contribute towards beating dementia once and for all.
All funds raised will support the work of Dementia Australia to provide funds for research and vital support services for people living with dementia, their families and carers.
Thank you for all of your support and generosity, it’s greatly appreciated!
