I'm raising funds for people with dementia!
Hi Everyone, many of you know my mum Marjorie Redpath died in December 2021 at age 89 after suffering with dementia for 24 years. Dementia is such an insidious debilitating disease that robs people of having a full and meaningful life. My mother and her mother (my grandmother) both had it. I'm doing everthing I can not to get it myself including living a very active lifestyle. Its no secret I love to walk and hike and I'm about to take that to the extreme by completing The Camino Frances (The French Way) in April 2023. It is an 800km pilgrimage across Spain and I will complete it in 37 days.
I want to raise funds for people with dementia but more specifically for Dementia Australia - an organisation that is also working hard in researching to find a cure.
But I need your help! Please make a donation to support my efforts and help me reach my goal to beat dementia. I would be so incredibly grateful for any amount.
All funds raised will go directly to and support the work of Dementia Australia to provide vital support services for people living with dementia, their families and carers. These services include counselling, support groups, education and training.
Just about everyone nowadays seems to have a link to someone with dementia. I truly hope the scientists of the world soon make a breakthrough discovery that will cure dementia, if not prevent it's onset
