Great Ocean Road Marathon for KG my pop

I'm raising funds for people with dementia!

Happy 2024 everybody, 

For those who don't know my pop has been battling dementia, 

It's a constant reminder for me to love everyday and live everyday like it's my last, 

its not an excuse to be reckless but it's certainly an excuse to choose to be grateful, even in the storms of life, 

work hard, be happy, let go of bitterness or resentment, past traumas, smile more & help people along the way on their journey. 

We are all battling something. 

Life's too short. Be kind to yourself and others. 

I love my pop and I'm very grateful for the opportunity to dedicate something special to him and all the many thousands of people who suffer from dementia in Australia everyday & also dedicate it to the amazing support workers and loved ones who care & give so much everyday. I love you Nanna.

I've signed up for the Great Ocean Marathon in May (my first one !) With a bunch of legends ! 

I'll be thinking about my pop on every run, he has always been encouraging in my life,  

I'll be posting some progress/prep work along the way. I never used to be a big fan of running, along the way I've learnt to embrace the pain and smile through it, enjoy the process !
