My target 42 kms

It's a marathon not a sprint! Taking a global walk to raise money for a global condition.

I’m challenging myself and some of my closest friends to complete a Walking Marathon (42km) to raise funds to support people with dementia. We will be supported on the day by our own families joining us for sections of the walk.

My motivation has been watching Eileen, the dear mother of my lifelong friend Pam be affected and consumed by this difficult illness. The changes she endured and the never ending love and care provided by her family leave me privileged in being able to do this small thing in memory of Eileen who we sadly lost to this disease earlier this year. Her 4 daughters and families are undertaking this same walk in the UK. Another dear friend has rallied a team in Dubai and together, on 3 different continents, we will walk in unison for this cause on the same day.

Please help me reach my goal by making a donation. It only takes a minute and any amount you can give will go a long way to fund medical and social research and support the vital services, support groups and education programs that Dementia Australia provides to people living with dementia, their families and carers.

Thank you so much for your support,
