I'm raising funds for people with dementia!

On 14 August, I’ll be taking on the Clint Eastwood backyard ultramarathon to raise money for Dementia Australia.

For those who don’t know, a backyard ultra is a race where runners complete a 6.7km lap every hour, on the hour, until only one person is left. It’s going to be physically and mentally tough, but that challenge is nothing compared to what people living with dementia, and their families, face every day.

I wanted this race to be about more than just running. Dementia affects so many individuals and families across Australia, and I’m hoping to use this challenge to raise funds for the support services, education, and care provided by Dementia Australia, while also contributing to critical research into better treatments and, one day, a cure.

Every donation, no matter the size, will make a genuine difference. Your support will help fund counselling, support programs, education for carers and families, and ongoing dementia research that could change lives in the future.

Thank you for supporting me through this challenge and helping raise awareness and funds for such an important cause. Every lap I run will be for something bigger than myself.
