I'm raising funds for people with dementia!

I'm raising funds for people with dementia.  Dementia is something I am affected by personally and professionally. My grandmother, friend and hero has been impacted with Alzheimer’s Disease for several years. This incredible woman raised 10 children, for many years of which on her own after losing her husband. She dedicated her remaining time and energy to Solace, a not for profit organisation to support people grieving the loss of a loved one. I’m inspired by Grandma’s hard work, kindness and compassion everyday. Sadly, Grandma’s experience living with dementia has resulted in a loss of independence, roles and identity. And for those around her a profound sense of loss, but an improved awareness of dementia, and an urge to contribute in any way we can. 

On 19th September (Pandemic pending), my Mum, my two aunties, and I will embark on a 22km “meander for memory” walk to raise money for Dementia Australia. 

The wonderful people at Dementia Australia are doing amazing work everyday to provide support for people living with dementia and the people involved in their care. 

 Please make a donation to support our efforts and help us reach our goal to beat dementia.

All funds raised will support the work of Dementia Australia to provide vital support services for people living with dementia, their families and carers. These services include counselling, support groups, education and training.
