I am raising funds for Dementia Australia in memory of my loved one.

Thank you for donating to Dementia Australia in memory of Graham - a dedicated son, husband, father, grandfather, teacher and friend. A beautiful and gentle soul.

After several years of medical appointments Dad was diagnosed with younger onset dementia (Alzheimer's type) in 2015 - a life changing diagnosis for him and his family. In the absence of disease modifying treatments we know just how important the right care and support at the right time is for people living with dementia, their family and carers.

All donations received will support the work of Dementia Australia to make a significant difference for people living with dementia, their families and carers through vital support, services, education, training and research.

Our Guiding Light - Thank you for all your support

What do you do when you lose your guiding light?

You hope that when you look around you see their gentle glow within others - that their warmth and kindness lives on within us. We carry your goodness gently within us. That is my hope and my daily challenge.

Dad you will always mean the world to me and perhaps the blessing of you leaving us too soon is that you will forever be suspended in a warm moment of grace, dignity and kindness. We are all made better and brighter for having known you - by being loved by you.

We carry you.

It's been 4 weeks since Dad passed away. In may ways I still feel disbelief but I am calm knowing that he is at rest. I guess the path is long and the rest is yet to come.

On behalf of Mum and my siblings I want to say thank you to everyone here for your support, warmth, time and love.

I only hope that those who are walking or will walk this pathway of dementia are provided with the support, love and dignity we all deserve.
