I'm raising funds for people with dementia! As a challenge, I'll be trekking Mt Kilimanjaro, Africa's tallest peak.

I have lost loved ones as a result of this condition, which is why I support this charity.  Your contributions will go a long way towards achieving the aim of overcoming dementia.

All funds raised will support the work of Dementia Australia to provide vital support services for people living with dementia, their families and carers.

Day 2-5

Tuesday 31st Dec

Because climbing Mount Kilimanjaro necessitates self-acclimatization, we would move up from camp to camp as we went along, with the last camp (Barufu) rising 4,673 metres above sea level. From this point, the ascent began at 4 a.m. on December 29 and reached the summit at 5895 m at around 9:30 a.m.

Day 1

Wednesday 25th Dec

I landed in Arusha, Tanzania, last night after a long flight from Australia. Today, I begin my journey to climb the highest point in Africa.The rainy season in Arusha has brought lush foliage. The first impression is of a bustling city with a high population density due to a large number of tourists visiting.
