I'm raising funds for people with dementia!

Mum was 64 when she was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer’s. She was 73 when she died. A part of us died with her.

So, I’m walking with my Uncle Warren, mum's brother, about 95 kilometres in sections  along the Sunshine Coast's Coastal Pathway from Pelican Waters to Noosa to make peace with it - and to raise much-needed funds for support services for people living with dementia.

But I need your help! Please make a donation to support my efforts and help me reach my goal to beat dementia.

All funds raised will support the work of Dementia Australia to provide vital support services for people living with dementia, their families and carers. These services include counselling, support groups, education and training.

Final Leg - Sunday 17 October 10am to 12pm

Thursday 7th Oct
We will be completing the “final leg” of our epic Sunshine Coast Coastal Pathway fundraising walk for dementia support services on this morning.

We will be walking about six kilometres from the pedestrian bridge at Chambers Island in Maroochydore to “Mum’s Beach” at the end of Parkyn Parade in Mooloolaba, where we scattered mum’s ashes in June last year.

After walking about 75 kilometres from Caloundra to Noosa, we have saved this section until last to honour my mum, Adrienne, and everyone affected by dementia.

It would be wonderful if you could join us for all or part of the way - in person or in spirit!
