Birthday Bash For Dementia

By Liz Moloney

I'm raising funds for people with dementia!

When Toughie asked if he could turn this birthday bash into a fundraising event for Dementia Australia, of course I said yes.

For those who may not know me, my Mum Colleen was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease back in 2014. We are lucky enough that she still lives at home with Dad, and with the support of home services, Mum's wonderful care provider Deb, and all our family we hope she can stay home for a long time yet.

So, we're raising funds for people living with dementia! Over the last two years I've taken part in the November 'Pedal The Map' event, so this one is a little different.

Of course, we need your help! Please make a donation to support our efforts and help us reach our goal to beat dementia.

All funds raised will support the work of Dementia Australia to provide vital support services for people living with dementia, their families and carers. These services include counselling, support groups, education and training.

Thanks Toughie, Squidy and Nick for supporting a cause close to my heart.

Cheers everyone - let's party!
